So, Athena is turning nine, which feels like exactly the right excuse to go all
in. This birthday edition of We Can Dance is basically a big thank-you hug
to everyone who’s been on that dancefloor over the years, with non-stop
80s pop, massive choruses, and zero shame about loving every second of
it. You know the vibe: songs you somehow still know all the words to, people
cheering before the first note’s even finished, and a room that feels like it’s all
dancing together rather than doing their own thing. It’s friendly, camp, a bit
chaotic and very much about celebrating the night, the crowd and the fact it’s
still going strong nine years on. Turn up early, lose track of time, and help give
