This Is Not a Eulogy
To celebrate ten years of bringing
performance art to East London’s dance
floors, the queer techno collective
INFERNO has teamed up with eight other
nightlife groups to address the crisis facing
queer nightlife in the capital. The photoshoot
and campaign aim to draw attention to
various issues, including rising venue hire
costs, the cancellation of sex-positive kink
events, and the pricing out of vulnerable
communities. INFERNO founder Lewis
G Burton says, “These spaces are a lifeline — it’s where we build chosen family, find community care, and survive.
We need queer nightlife to be taken seriously and funded properly. We provide just as much culture as galleries and
museums”. Read the full collective message @INFERNO_London.
